something like that? will the page no longer appear after that specified date? I know you can set up your server/hosting to recognize your time zone the default may be GMT but all I need is the answer. Thanks guys.

No. Essentially this will cause a document to be reloaded from the website after the date (even if it is stored in the user's cache). Put a date in the past to disable caching of the document. In other words, it will cause the page to be refreshed in the end user's web browser on the date specified.

When a visitor goes to your site, they download a copy of your page. The second time they type the address in the address bar, it loads the version they downloaded last time.

The expired date determines when the users computer will check the server for an updated version, and has nothing to do with making content stop appearing.

so far as I know the Meta tag stays as long as the page is there.

As far as i know Meta tag lasts for long til the website last...so i dont think there is an issue regarding this.
